Before the Dust Settles

Unicorns and T-rexes (L.A. and Wisteria Lane)

Oftentimes, my children tell wonderful, believeable stories about their days at school.  However, when they start talking about unicorns and dinosaurs making appearances, it is vital that I in turn question every detail of their day.

So, when I start talking unicorns and t-rexes, please stay with me. I assure you that it is all true.

I was contacted by a woman in California because she stumbled upon my blogs at www.momaha.coma and felt that I would be a good fit for a campaign she was working on with Con Agra Foods.

This campaign, Child Hunger Ends Here Neighborhood Rally, is a way for communities to rally together to stamp out child hunger and to raise awareness about the issue of child hunger.  So she wanted to know if I’d be interested.

Kids going hungry?  In my neighborhood?  You bet I’m interested in putting a stop to this.

Nearly one in four children in the United States doesn’t know where his next meal is coming from. That’s nearly 17 million kids across the country from all walks of life – from cities to rural areas; two-income families to single-parent homes.

So the unicorns and t-rexes showed up when she informed me that they would be flying me out to L.A. for the media launch on the set of Wisteria Lane.  No lie.  Stay tuned for more details. (or better yet, subscribe to this blog!)
